An expression of my thoughts and feelings on fashion, entertainment and anything else on my mind.
Today we meet Desiree Venn Frederic, a young woman who is using her talents, heritage and voice to inspire a movement. Known as Fashion Empowering Women Foundation (FEW) the foundation is presenting “The Look Good. Do Good. Movement ” January 2012 – June 2012 with the aim of Engaging a new generation of philanthropists and to bring social good into mainstream conversation, a part of pop culture. All you have to do is pledge and pose…
More than a tagline, “Look Good. Do Good.” is a movement. A lifestyle. The idea that a generation of tastemakers can care as much about social issues as they do about personal image. Fashion Empowers Women(FEW) aims to mobilize a generation to understand the value of their time and talent by giving back to their communities.
The “Look Good. Do Good.” Movement will create awareness about volunteerism among the Millennial generation, aged 18-30 from January 2, 2012 to June 1, 2012. With your help, they will engage 50,000 people while raising $50,000 for deserving non-profits. FEW is founded on the idea that young, fashionable tastemakers can be altruistic- just as giving as they are fashionable. Their efforts are to engage people everywhere to get involved in social good in any capacity- whether by donating a few hours a month, donating a pro-bono professional service or raising money for causes dear to their hearts.
Sign the pledge to “LOOK GOOD AND DO GOOD”, share it with everyone you know, and then leave us a comment about how you live the LOOK GOOD. DO GOOD lifestyle.
